Hard Work Needs a Tennis Development Plan

Many players train regularly, compete, work with a coach — and progress still slows. Not because the effort dropped, but because the work is no longer organised around an objective precise enough to produce the next adaptation. The effort is there. What’s missing is a system.

Standard training

  • Training built around what feels right in the session
  • Objectives shifting and sometimes unclear
  • Match results processed emotionally
  • Parents without structured visibility
  • Progress felt rather than measured

iTUSA system

  • Training built around what the assessment identified as the priority
  • Documented objectives, formally reviewed at every cycle
  • Every match feeds a report that enters the next training plan
  • Regular progress reports and Parent Dashboard access
  • Progress tracked through data, feedback and documented review

“Within the first 10 minutes Rafael had addressed the error in technique that was holding him back and he quickly accomplished those two goals and was able to move his tennis game forward immensely.”

Jeremy Lowry — Father of Davey Lowry, Salt Lake City, Utah

Tennis Coaching Gives Direction.Methodology Creates Continuity.

Most development environments have one of these three. iTUSA is built on all three, in that order, and the order is not decorative — it decides who makes the call when they disagree.

Coaching

Every development decision starts with human observation and judgment. The call is made by a person who knows the player's assessment, objectives and history. The technology supports that decision without ever making it.

Methodology

The Champion Development System connects assessment, objectives, corrections, training, competition and review into one continuous cycle. Each element informs the next, and the cycle restarts at a higher level.

→See the methodology

Technology

The System makes coaching decisions continuous — visible across sessions, coaches, locations and time. A correction plan no longer sits in a notebook. Good coaching would work without it. It works better with it.

Technology Makes It Visible

"The technology serves the methodology. The methodology serves the coach. The coach serves the player."

Where the Methodology Becomes Daily Training in Spain

Not a campus. Not a training resort. A working performance environment, reserved for a small group of full board juniors, visiting professionals and coaches inside the iTUSA framework. Access is controlled because the environment only works when everyone in it holds the same standard. When the players around you operate at professional standards, your own rises — less by instruction than because anything less starts to feel out of place.

Controlled Capacity

A limited group of full board juniors, professional players on performance blocks, and iTUSA-certified coaches. No public access, and every session on the schedule.

Integrated Team

Technical development, physical preparation, mental performance and competition planning all work from the same player file. One coordinated program rather than parallel services.

Professional Rhythm

Six days a week: four intensive days, one technical and recovery day, one competition preparation day. Sunday is complete regeneration.

One Tennis Development System, in the Right Format for Your Player

Every program runs on the same assessment framework, the same Head Coach standard and the same development cycle. What changes is the environment and the level of daily immersion.

The iTUSA Tennis Coaching Team

Every assessment is conducted or validated by the Head Coach. Every correction plan is approved before it reaches a player. Every review cycle is led by the coaching team.

Rafael Font de Mora
Founder, Head Coach & System Architect

Thirty years building players from junior foundations to the professional tour. The iTUSA system is the methodology he extracted from that work and made transmissible. He validates every correction plan, leads every review cycle, and is accountable for the development direction of every player in every iTUSA program.

Development Coaching Team — Wesley Whitehouse and Mariano Peinado. Two head coaches, two distinct roles: competitive execution, and technical precision.
Physical Performance — Led by specialists with WTA and ATP tour experience: explosive movement, structural resilience and recovery, built into the weekly program.
Mental Performance — Guided by tour-level experts: competition framework, pressure response and playing identity, built before the pressure arrives.
Competitive Environment — Sparring partners selected to test whether corrections hold up in live play.

What the System Has Produced: WTA, ATP and NCAA Careers

Thirty years of players built on court — from junior foundations to the professional tour and NCAA Division I.

30+ Years

Junior & Professional Alumni

Players developed at the highest junior levels who went on to professional and collegiate careers. Individual histories are discussed openly with candidate families.

NCAA Division I

iTUSA alumni have reached NCAA Division I. College pathway planning is built into the full board program.

“The kids want to work hard and please him, because he wants to please them and make them better. The detail that he goes into is amazing.”

The System

The System, Connected. Between Every Session.

The best coaching decision loses its value if it is not documented and reachable between sessions. A correction plan that lives in one coach's notebook stops working the moment that coach is not there. The System keeps assessments, plans, session logs and reports connected — continuously, across every role, wherever the player trains.

Where your player stands today.

Priorities come from the assessment. The plan follows the priorities. The work is executed and logged on court. The review reads what was logged. The next cycle starts from what the review found.
