Talk to iTUSA About Your Player

Most families and coaches who write to iTUSA are not ready to decide. They are trying to work out whether the system suits their player, and whether the conversation is worth having at all. That is the right reason to write.

FAQ

Yes, and most first messages arrive exactly like that. The form asks for the player's age, level and current training environment because those three things are usually enough to tell you whether the fit is plausible before anyone spends an hour on a call. If it is not plausible, you will be told, with the reason.
No. Ranking is not a filter for getting in touch, and it is not the filter for full board admission either. What weighs more is the stage of development, the willingness to work on difficult things, and the family's readiness for the process. Players with no ranking at all go through assessments regularly.
For most families the assessment is the first real step rather than the last. The first exchange establishes whether it makes sense to do one; the assessment then produces the documented profile that every later decision rests on — program, priorities, timeline. Nothing is proposed before that profile exists.
Yes, and players often do. The team will reply to the player. For anyone under eighteen, a parent or legal guardian has to be involved before anything moves forward, whether that is an assessment, a visit or an admission process. That is not administrative caution — the family's involvement is part of how the program works.
Yes, though it is not required. An unlisted YouTube or Vimeo link is the simplest format. Match play helps far more than a highlight edit: full points, filmed from behind the baseline, with the whole body in frame. One set tells a coach more than twenty winners.
Yes, and we prefer it — families who have seen a normal training day decide better than families who have only read about one. Visits are by confirmed appointment, arranged around the training schedule rather than dropped into it, so that what you see is an ordinary week. Say in your message roughly when you could travel.

Linked content pair: this answer must stay consistent, in substance, with the equivalent visits answer on the Academy page — a past version of the two pages contradicted each other on this point. Verify both before launch.
